| General Membership Meeting |
At our General Membership meeting held April 8, 2009 our Guest Speaker was Pierre Piponnian, CRPS, Certified Financial Planner at Smith Barney who spoke on 'Helping Understand the Volatility in Today's Investment Markets'.

At our General Membership meeting held March 11, 2009 our Guest Speaker was DonnaAnn Ward, Field Service Representative for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) who spoke on 'Employee Free Choice Act in 2009'.

| Alzheimer's Memory Walk |
This is the second year in a row that 'Team NAWIC' participated in the Alzheimer's Memory Walk in downtown LA. Our team consisted of 17 participants and raised over $2,000. The walk took place on October 5, 2008 at the Watercourt at California Plaza.

| Industry Appriciation Awards Banquet |
Our 41st Annual NAWIC Industry Appreciation Awards Banquet was held at the Covina Center for the Performing Arts on June 11, 2008. Retha Champion of Champion Foundation received the Industry Appreciation Award for teh 'Renovation of the Historical Downtown Covina Theater'.
