NAWIC Chapter #110

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), Chapter #110 was founded in 1965.

We are a very active chapter with involvement in:

  • Scholarships for aspiring students in the field of Construction through our Barbara Curtin Memorial Scholarship. Get details and view a list of the 2009 recipients here.

Block Kids 2007 winnerBlock Kids 2007 winning entry

  • The Block Kids Building Program which introduces children in grades 1 - 6 to the construction industry.

    The 2007-2008 winner for Chapter #110 is Leslie Oros, a 4th grader (she also placed 2nd overall at the regionals!).

  • Community Service through the Women In Construction (WIC) week projects. See our 2009 project here.

    San Gabriel Valley Habitat for Humanity

    • Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry which seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world
